MechSpace does not collect any personal information. The app is designed to work entirely on your device, with no accounts, no tracking, and no analytics.
MechSpace does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
MechSpace uses your device camera for two features: augmented reality (AR) part placement and part detection using on-device machine learning. All camera processing happens entirely on your device. Camera frames are never stored to disk, transmitted to external servers, or shared with third parties.
MechSpace can connect to VEX robotics hardware via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE). Bluetooth device identifiers are stored locally on your device solely for reconnection purposes and are never transmitted externally.
All user-created projects, part inventories, and progress data are stored locally on your device. MechSpace does not use cloud sync, iCloud, or any remote database for user data. Your projects remain on your device unless you choose to export them yourself.
MechSpace downloads 3D model assets, machine learning models, and part catalog data from a content delivery network (CDN) to provide up-to-date part libraries. These downloads do not include any personal information. Downloaded content is cached locally on your device for offline use.
MechSpace does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social media SDKs. The app uses only Apple-native frameworks (ARKit, CoreML, CoreBluetooth, and AppIntents).
MechSpace supports Siri Shortcuts for hands-free control of the app. Siri interactions are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. MechSpace does not receive or store any Siri voice data.
MechSpace is designed to be safe for users of all ages, including children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from any user, making it compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.
